2nd Annual Glass Art Conference and Cruise

Postby KayBainWeiner on Tue May 04, 2010 3:37 pm

2nd annual Glass Art Conference and Cruise - January 8th, 2011

KBW Foundation plans 2nd annual Glass Art Conference and Cruise after a triumphant inaugural event!

The 2010 first annual Glass Art Conference and Cruise was a wonderful success, with over flowing glass workshops and lectures. There were 148 glass enthusiasts from 23 states that came from as far away as Alaska, Canada and Israel to network, improve their techniques or learn a new one. The theme "accelerate your creativity" rang true for all. Almost half of the conference attendees have already signed up to join us next year.

The foundation will once again be sponsoring a national one-week, art glass conference to be held on the new Celebrity Cruise's ship the Eclipse beginning January 8th, 2011. Sailing roundtrip from Miami, FL to four ports in the western Caribbean; George Town>Grand Cayman, Cozumel>Mexico, Puerto Costa Maya>Mexico and Roatan, Honduras. The conference will feature art glass lectures, workshops and demonstrations presented by nationally renowned glass artists. Panel discussions, on-board tours, get-togethers and cocktail parties are some of the special events planned.

Join glass lovers and get acquainted with glass authors, retailers, publishers, instructors, manufacturers, glass artists, hobbyists and art lovers from all over the country. The glass conference is open to everyone from novice to experienced glass artists. Lectures and workshops will include Internet Marketing, glass enameling, art clay silver, painting on glass, wire wrapping jewelry, publishing your work and more.

In collaboration with Corning Museum, the Eclipse features an exciting hot glass blowing studio and presentations. The ships decor is luxurious with spectacular design and an impressive art and glass collection. The Eclipse offers a wide assortment of accommodations to suit every budget while providing exceptional service to all.

For more information, see the KBW Foundation website or call 760-603-8646 to sign up or email kayeastman@aol.com.
